We, Japan and BiH Lesson Study Network Committee (LSNC), have earned the Grant for Human Resources Development for Implementing International Exchange from the Japan Foundation, and plan to have a collaborative lesson study with teachers and teacher educators.

Our aim is to share ideas about teacher education and to create sustainable interpersonal relationships for teachers and teacher educators through ‘lesson study’, which is originated from Japanese traditional in-service teacher education (INSET) programs and is now being popular internationally. We wish to start the online lesson study program mutually in the future.

This project, supported by the Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan, has the following objectives:

1) to create mutual relationships regarding teacher education
2) to understand each country’s teacher education
3) to develop better teacher education programs
4) to promote lesson study as a teacher education program
5) to start online teacher education programs
